Override are a South West-based hardcore band. I have produced, engineered, and mixed their first single, Out of Spite, with more singles and an EP planned for the future. This production pushes the boundaries of metal music, aiming for an extreme drum sound and an overall dense, relentless mix. Choosing to merge raw energy and a DIY, imperfect sound with modern production and mixing techniques has really enhanced the band's songs, making them competitive with larger acts within the genre, even at this early stage of the band's career. Working with Override was one of my first introductions to producing heavy music, a genre I greatly enjoy working within and one that plays to my strengths.
